The Black Dog Connector Strap provides an additional connection when walking your dog in a training halter or harness. It links the halter or harness back to your dog’s regular collar.
If your dog manages to back out of their primary equipment, the connector strap helps keep them attached through the collar. It is particularly useful for dogs that wriggle, reverse out of equipment or are still getting used to wearing a new halter or harness.
Even correctly fitted equipment can shift when a dog twists, reverses or becomes excited. Some dogs are also particularly skilled at backing out of a halter or harness.
The connector strap provides a simple link to the dog’s regular collar. This gives you an additional connection while you work on calm, controlled walking.
It can also provide reassurance when introducing unfamiliar walking equipment to a young or active dog.
The strap should provide a backup connection without pulling the collar or interfering with the fit of the halter or harness.
The connector strap is a backup link, not a replacement for properly fitted walking equipment. Check the strap, clips, collar, halter and harness before every walk.
Use it only while your dog is supervised. Do not use the connector strap as a lead, tether or car restraint.
