Proudly partnering with:

Justin Jordan

Owner & Founder, Jordan Dog Training
Master Dog Trainer, Red Dog’s official trainer & handler

Justin has worked in the pet industry for over 30 years, training, trialling and consulting as a behavioural therapist.

He is a member of the Pet Industry Association and is also working as part of the Dog Training Consultative Group in developing a “Model Code of Practice” that will develop best practice standards for the dog training industry in Australia and be a voice of the Pet Industry Association for members with concerns on training techniques & methods.

Justin has been selected as the official trainer and handler for the Queensland Reds junior mascot, “Red.” From the selection of a suitable puppy with the correct temperament to the development of this puppy and its ongoing training, Justin is responsible for all aspects of Red’s wellbeing and career and is also the handler at all of the St. George Queensland Reds home games and media events.

Justin worked closely with the late John Richardson, also known as the Dog Whisperer, and oversaw the Queensland branches of the DogTech franchise for many years, also attaining the Master Trainer qualification.

As an industry leader, Justin also works in partnership with the Brisbane City Council, participating in Animal Management Forums helping to develop and improve the way council works with, educates and regulates responsible animal ownership. In recent years, Justin also helped at the many K-9 capers events run by council across Brisbane.

With experience both in obedience training and in behavioural problem-solving, Justin has instructed at many dog obedience organisations in his career, including Metropolitan Dog Obedience Club and Teamwork Dog Obedience, and estimates that he has directly worked with and helped over 20,000 Australian families with their dogs.

Justin’s passion for our canine friend sees him donate his time and expertise to many dog rescue organisations and shelters plus also doing canine therapy visits to retirement villages.

Justin’s vision for Jordan Dog Training generated from seeing a need in Brisbane for professional dog trainers to help people understand and resolve their dog’s behavioural problems with gentle methods and proven techniques. As the demand for his services have outstripped the time he has available, he has selected a team of passionate, like-minded people to join him in his venture and he is constantly looking for the right people to join his expanding team.
