Terri exudes a love and warmth for animals that is immediately picked up by any animal she meets. She mixes a firm consistency with love and affection, and her care for the animals is paramount.
For almost 30 years, Terri has been involved in the animal industry in one form or another. At 14 years of age her first job was at the Greyhound Racing on race nights beginning as a kennel staff member and then progressing over the next seven years to become a Race Night Steward. Her love for this amazing breed grew and grew during this time to a point where Terri fostered many and adopted one beautiful greyhound, Peanut.
Terri also owned and managed Pet Stores for many years which fueled her love for all things four legged and furry. During this time, she undertook training in animal obedience, behavior and the care of companion animals. These skills were not only put to use to help guide new dog owners when they took home their new puppy but also with her own animals teaching them basic obedience and some additional tricks.
There were times on Terri’s old farm where you could see her taking her dogs for a walk, to be followed by her five horses and two cats. It was truly a sight to see, and her mother affectionately dubbed her ‘The Pied Piper’.
Terri also has both Business and Photographic qualifications, and is an avid softballer having played both in Australia and overseas. Her love for sharing knowledge and watching growth is present in the fact that she has coached softball for almost as many years as she has played as well as instructed at her local pony club for many years.
Her current animal family consists of her Border Collie, Dotti, five horses, including one adopted Standardbred, and two ragdoll kittens who believe they are way more helpful that what they really are.
Coupling her love for animals with her years as an educator and instructor she is looking forward to bringing her skill set to Jordan Dog Training clients.
