Professional & Positive Dog Obedience Training In Brisbane

Tailored Dog Obedience Training For Every Stage of Your Dog's Life

No matter the age, whether a young puppy or an adult dog, your furry friend can benefit from dog obedience training. Not only does it provide early exposure to different people and other animals, which is essential for their development and socialisation, but it also helps establish good behaviour, leading to a harmonious and positive relationship between you and your dog.

With our dog obedience training classes in Brisbane, you and your trainer can:

  • Teach your dog lead manners with loose lead walking.
  • Effectively manage and desensitise leash frustration and aggression.
  • Teach your dog to have a reliable recall (come exercise) with distractions around.
  • Learn to be calm and focussed with all types of distractions.
  • Learn how to mark and reward behaviours while training in a positive and harmonious way with your dog.

Our 1:3 Trainer-to-Dog Ratio!

Dogs learn best when taught consistently and given the right balance of structure and encouragement. That’s why our group dog obedience classes have a minimum of one trainer for every three dogs. This ensures that you and your dog receive support throughout the training process. We often have one trainer for two dogs for even more precision and enhanced learning for you both!

Our accredited trainers run our obedience classes, ensuring you and your dog receive the personalised attention you need.

Our Lifetime Membership

Just like we say, “You stop growing when you stop learning,” the same goes for dogs. That’s why we offer a Lifetime Membership for dedicated dog owners and their furry friends. With our Lifetime Membership for a single fee, you’re not just signing up for a one-time obedience class—you’re committing to training and support for the entire life of your dog.

When you sign up and pay for a Lifetime Membership with Jordan Dog Training, you can attend our obedience classes as often as you like at any of our many locations for the life of your dog. We believe that the time, patience, and structure involved in taking your dog to obedience classes will reward you with a gift that lasts a lifetime—an enduring connection and a sense of loyalty that is unique to owners and their four-legged friends.

How Group Dog Obedience Classes Help

Many excitable, quote-unquote naughty behaviours common in puppies will generally lessen over time with and with consistent training. However, if your four-legged friend is still struggling with these behaviours as they get older, obedience classes can definitely lend a hand in addressing these issues and helping your dog develop better habits and manners. At Jordan Dog Training, our obedience classes can help if your four-legged friend is:

  • Excessively barking
  • Jumping up on people
  • Pulling on the leash when walking
  • Suffering from separation anxiety when you’re away
  • Not responding to basic commands, e.g., sit, stay, come
  • Displaying antisocial behaviours towards other dogs or people

Group Obedience Classes For Dogs of All Ages

Our doggy obedience school is designed for dogs older than five months, with no upper age limit. Our classes will help address current dog obedience issues and our friendly, accredited, and specialist trainers will also help you teach long-lasting, balanced techniques that you can use at home to encourage obedience now and in the future.

Dog obedience training should be an essential part of any dog’s development. Our obedience training in Brisbane will help your dog develop manners and follow your commands regardless of environment or distractions. It is an invaluable investment that continues the socialisation experience for your dog and will also assist you in maintaining harmony in the relationship between you and your four-legged friend. If your dog has specific behavioural problems, such as excessive barking or separation anxiety, we recommend a private in-home dog training session before the next step of undertaking group obedience training.

Our obedience classes are held in various locations around the Brisbane region. With Brisbane classes held in Ashgrove, Kedron, North Lakes, Caboolture and Morningside, there is sure to be an obedience training session near you. Our Brisbane team can also recommend obedience trainers in the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba areas.

Dog Group Obedience

What is Obedience for Life?

When you enrol your dog in one of our group obedience courses, this includes Obedience for Life membership. After the initial three-week course, your dog is welcome to return to unlimited additional classes at no additional cost – for the life of the dog at any of our training locations. That means your dog can keep coming back:

  • Until they are performing at the level that you want
  • When they reach adolescence or go through a naughty phase
  • Any time for refresher training or to troubleshoot any obedience issues that arise

Why do we offer this? Obedience isn’t just about teaching sitting, dropping, or staying, although it may feel like it sometimes. Obedience training is what helps you develop a harmonious and balanced relationship that allows you to do more with your dog every day.

Do you want:

  • Walks that are pleasant?
  • A dog you can take anywhere?
  • To be able to take your dog to a friend’s place?
  • To be able to take your dog to dog-friendly cafes and beaches?
  • A dog that is responsive regardless of the environment or distractions?
  • Less “NO!” and more “Yes!”?
  • More safety in emergencies?

Training is an ongoing process, and your dog is always learning. Our Group Obedience course will teach you how to ensure your dog is learning the right things that will help to make every day with your dog a pleasure.
