Merry Christmas from the Jordan Dog Training Team!

It’s less than a week until Christmas, and we’d like to wish you all a happy and safe holiday! We are looking forward to a short break (and know that Red can’t wait to unwrap his presents).

It’s so easy to get caught up in end of year festivities, and sometimes we can forget about our beloved best friends. Below are some tips for the holiday season: follow these and you’ll have the best chance at keeping your pup healthy and happy this Christmas!

  • Look out for your dog if the temperatures start to rise. Read our article on keeping your dog cool – it’s full of handy hints!
  • Festive fare can do your dog more harm than good. If you want to treat your pup this Christmas, invest in some healthy dog treats and save the turkey and gravy for the humans.
  • When New Year rolls around, be sure to keep your dog inside. Fireworks can spook even the toughest of pups, and they can try to escape. So to save your dog from running onto a busy road (or injuring themselves trying to jump the fence), keep them inside or in the garage on New Year’s Eve.

We hope that you have an enjoyable break and can’t wait to catch up with you all when puppy pre-school and obedience training recommence in the New Year. We have thoroughly enjoyed 2014 and are looking forward to an even better 2015.
